If you are a user of the Umico.az web-site, the Umico mobile application (hereinafter referred to as Umico Products), then you agree to the application of this Personal Data Policy (except as provided below).

If you are a visitor to a third-party web-site which uses Umico Products, any data you provide on this resource is collected in accordance with the personal data policy of this web-site (company).

Your privacy is very important to us and we recognize the importance of protecting personal data. Therefore, we have designed this Policy so that you can understand how we collect, use, distribute and modify your personal data.

Composition of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to a directly or indirectly determined or designated individual (citizen). Personal data processing is any action (operation) or a set of actions (operations) with personal data performed with or without using automation means. Such actions (operations) may include: collection, receipt, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, elaboration (update, change), extraction, use, transfer (distribution, provision, access), depersonalization, blocking, deletion, destruction of personal data.

Purpose of use

Client information is collected and stored solely for the purpose of rendering services within the framework of the agreement concluded with the Client for participation in the “Umico” coalition consumer loyalty program (hereinafter referred to as the Program); for identification and communication; for provision of Clients with information on services and products provided by the Operator and/or Partners of the Program; as well as for analysis, technical management and improvement of the “Umico” Program and Products; for marketing purposes; for any other purposes specified in this Confidentiality Policy. In the meaning of this Confidentiality Policy, Client information is: personal information the Client independently provides when concluding contracts, installing and using the application, personal account on umico.az web resource (including but not limited to full name, email, phone); as well as data automatically transmitted in the process of using the application, including but not limited to:

  • Read SMS permission required to access sms contents from Umico to improve app performance and verify some requirements automatically.
  • IDFA (Identifier For Advertisers) is required to identify the mobile device on which the application is installed. It is necessary to enhance the security of UMICO product users.
  • Access to the device’s camera is required to scan a loyalty card.
  • Access to user geolocation will enable us to take this attribute into account to form a relevant issue of partners and their offers in the application feed.
  • Access to the phonebook will enable the user to earn bonus manats by recommending the UMICO application to contacts from the phonebook.
  • Cookies enable to save Umico platform usage history, personalized settings and other data enhancing the usability of Umico on the user's device.
  • OS version is required for technical optimization of the information displayed to the client, taking into account the version of the client operating system.
  • The browser version is required for technical optimization of the information displayed to the client, taking into account the client browser version.
  • Device type is required for technical optimization of the information displayed to the client, taking into account the version of the client operating system.
  • Time zone is required to correct the time of the information displayed to the client, taking into account the time zone in which the client is located.
  • Filing system is required to save the application metadata necessary for the platform to function correctly.
  • Network connection (cellular & Wi-Fi) is required to track the ability to download application metadata, retrieve data from the server to update the content of partner catalogs and products in the application.

In addition, we may also use third-party services (such as Google Analytics). Such third-party services have their own confidentiality policies that describe how they use the information provided.

Location data depending on the permissions set on your browser or device. You can disable location services in the settings of your device.

Data provided by external services in the presence of Integration. You can use external services to interact with Umico Products, such as Facebook, email clients and others. Under such interaction, your personal data can be transferred to Umico Products. In addition, Umico may request access to other services on your behalf if there is Integration with these external services.

We may request personal data from you at any time when you interact with Umico Products.

Protection of information

We take measures to ensure safe storage and processing of your data. These measures include processes and procedures aimed at reducing the risks of unauthorized access to or disclosure of your data. In order to ensure the security of information, we have taken the necessary organizational, technical and physical security measures. The database service uses storage encryption for data and complies with the FIPS 140-2 standard. Data, including backups, are encrypted on disk. The service uses 256-bit AES cipher included in storage encryption and the keys are managed by the system. Storage encryption is always enabled and cannot be disabled. TLS 1.3 is used to encrypt data at the transport protocol level.

Data disclosure to third parties

We do not transfer user data to third parties. User data can be transferred to competent authorities upon their request in accordance with applicable law.

Refusal to provide data

We give you the opportunity to refuse to provide us with your personal data when we request it. If you decide not to provide personal data, we will not be able to guarantee you access to Umico Products.

Deletion

Only persons who have reached the age of 14 have permission to access Umico Products. Umico products do not apply to anyone under the age of 14 (“Children”). If you are a parent or guardian and find out that your children have provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we find out that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 14 without parental consent, we will take steps to remove this information from our servers.

Changes to this Confidentiality Policy

We reserve the right to update or change our Policy at any time, and you should occasionally check on this Confidentiality Privacy. Your continued use of Umico Product(s) after the introduction of changes to the Confidentiality Policy on this page will mean your approval of the changes and agreement to abide by and be bound by the amended Policy. If we make any substantial changes to this Confidentiality Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you provided or by posting a visible notice on our web site.
